Heating wire/mat will be fitted onto wooden subsrate, I will be lifting the existing T&G floor boards and sheeting the floor. Should an insulating backer board be fitted prior to the heating system, and if so, what are the options and costs?

Are all systems equally efficient and what are the running costs in real terms?

Which system is best value, which is best quality, and what is the difference?
