The best offers available on tiling products near you !

In reply to past posts regarding a best price guide ( ish ) would tilers help the like minded souls with dodgy bones by posting on here any offers available from there local store thus giving others a big stick to poke at there supplier ? it would require a little effort from the true tilers who post to update. the amount of posts regarding the obscene charges some have to incurr is heartbreaking, there is no need for anyone to get ripped off time after time with a informative site such as this. I for one could'nt care less who knows how much i charge for a bloody sponge!! let's see eh.

Are you sure this isn't to get compeititor list and prices you cheeky bugger you lol.

If not - fair play. If so - fair play.

I could do with such a list myself. I think a 'discounted' list certainly with trade prices would be hard to find but we do have a few threads in the 'Tilers Forums Arms' that one could use to collate such information - or at least leads to the information.

I appreciate you want the cheapest best price but don't forget service and overheads Every tile shop needs to make living butmost shops I price against want to make a killing ike Fast Set flexible adhesive for porcelain and under floor heating
I supply Candy Granfix and Technik products cheaper than most and have come to blows with their bosses for"giving it away" WESELL AT
supergrip wall adhesive £5 per tub plus VAT when you buy a pallet
fast set flexible 20 kg £8 plus VAT per 20kg when you buy a pallet

these are competitive I think but can you get it cheaper??? Let me know cos if so I need to renegotiate my deal!!!

Mate i honestly never thought of that when i posted it, Daft as it sounds i don't know what any supplier would be afraid of as regarding a weekly/monthly special offer that was accessible through these pages helping where it counts. I totally understand that major retailers and manufacturers would shy away for obvious reasons. I really think that there are plenty of regional (or National) independent retailers out there who could register and be verified as genuine suppliers. Once verified they would then be allowed to submit a weekly/monthly offers list of say 20 products. There are certainly a great deal of permatations that could be considered. I would like to think the results of such national coverage of this site would at least give tilers some indication of the true figure they should be paying. Any thoughts or suggestions ? Thanks for the reply Dan.

Thanks for the reply Martin

Your price examples are what i believe should become general knowlege to the main and form part of a regional supplier base available to all tilers regardless of how many projects completed and how much they spend ! And i do run a tile showroom in Nottingham with all the understanding of your comments. I couldn't careless what you charge in your area yeh. i think you really miss ( or will not believe ) the true point of what i have suggested with regards to helping tilers. I may have lost the plot with this idea but hey !!! thanks again.

Like I said - we do have something for the tilers on tilersforums.co.uk that's a bit like that - though it's evolved a bit now to something decent and usable.

It's just not available for other suppliers to see.

I'll shut up then.. No underhand motives were dreamt of while posting this and i now understand what a taboo subject the sale cost of materials from suppliers throught this land is. I was obviously very naive. good luck to everyone.
