I think range of products and price is paramount. It's always nice to know your supplier has your random bits aswell as your bread and butter lines.
I think public relations too in some ways; too many tilers feel as though they're forgotten about - they need calling every one and a while to let them know you're still looking out for them, and while you're chatting why not offer them to come visit on a trade day and get some manufacturers in on it too like Rubi/CornerTape at CTD.
